More about Lead Locally:
Lead Locally started in 2016 to build power for down ballot races at the city, state, and county level to support candidates that pledge to fight for climate justice and block new fossil fuel infrastructure in their districts. We know that if we're to maintain a livable climate for future generations, we need cities and states to step up to ensure the transition to clean energy at every level. As the federal government rolls back critical investments in climate action and environmental justice, we need to elect candidates that will ensure states transition to a clean energy economy, reject new fossil fuel infrastructure, and advocate for environmental justice policy.
We’re hiring a cohort of organizers to get out the vote for local candidates whose elections will decide important climate policy in VA, GA, and LA like each state’s commitment to a 100% transition to renewable energy, the future of new fossil fuel projects in each region, and the influence of corrupt utility influence in local elections. We’re excited to staff up for this critical odd-year election – and look forward to reading your application!
