Part time 20 hours per week. Flexible schedule with option to work up to 10 hours per day. This position is 100% onsite, with no option of remote work. W2 or 1099 option available.brbrThe primary responsibilities of the Assertive Community Treatment Team Psychiatrist are to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medications for people we support diagnosed with mental disorders to enhance the quality of life through services that enables them to achieve their personal dreams and goals and be integrated into the community with the greatest possible degree of self-determination and independence.p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/ph1bWhat You#39;ll Do:/b/h1ullipAssess individuals, served by the Assertive Community Treatment Team, for mental health disorders and make an appropriate DSM diagnosis (es)./p/lilipEnsure that services are delivered in a medically appropriate manner and care provided follows with service definitions and best practices./p/lilipReview past treatments, evaluations, and other relevant information in order to develop an appropriate diagnosis and person centered plans and screens referrals in coordination with the other Assertive Community Treatment Team members./p/lilipPrescribe medication when appropriate./p/lilipRequest diagnostic lab work when appropriate./p/lilipMaintain all necessary documentation and records which are necessary in the daily work of psychiatry in a timely manner. This may include the use of an Electronic Health Records system (EHR)./p/lilipProvide education to individuals to aid in understanding their diagnosis (es) and recommend appropriate treatment. Involve/Educate family members and other supports in treatment when appropriate./p/lilipEncourage individuals to participate in mental health therapy when appropriate./p/lilipCollaborate, coordinate and consult with other providers such as counselors, psychologists, social workers and medical staff of other local providers, including but not limited to state hospitals, local hospitals, other community agencies, primary healthcare providers, CCNC, public Health Departments, Federally Qualified Health Clinics in order to discuss treatment plans, progress in services and where appropriate, the medical aspects of the person being supported and the implications for their physical healthcare needs./p/lilipParticipate in staffing of complex or high risk individuals with other program staff./p/lilipProvide clinical supervision of all assigned physician assistants and nurse practitioners who will be added to his/her North Carolina medical license as the collaborating physician./p/lilipAttend and actively participate in meetings and training as required.
