Learning Designer (Part-Time)
Remote
Part-Time Contract (10-20 hours per week but flexible)
We are a fast-growing edtech company on a mission to make high-quality English language instruction accessible to all children using AI technology.
Our product is a new kind of English learning app for children ages 4–8. Guided by a friendly AI character, the experience is fully in English and built to feel magical, visual, and intuitive—even for kids who don’t speak the language yet. We are building from the ground up, and every lesson matters. We’re looking for creative and thoughtful contractors who can help us design meaningful, engaging activities and implement them through prompting and testing.
Responsibilities:
Design engaging learning activities for children that balance challenge, fun, and real-world language use.
Use prompting tools to implement lessons, test AI responses, and refine based on behavior and feedback.
Generate and select visual assets to support comprehension and keep the experience visually rich.
Balance activity types—exploratory, agent-guided, and routine—to build variety and confidence.
Who You Are:
You have experience teaching English to children and understand how to break down language learning into accessible, joyful steps.
You have a portfolio that showcases your work—whether that’s curriculum design, interactive lessons, or child-centered language learning experiences.
You enjoy using AI tools (like ChatGPT) for your work or personal use.
You’re excited to learn how to use new AI tools to help kids learn.
You’re excited to work in a zero-to-one environment and iterate quickly based on real product feedback.
You’re a fast learner and comfortable using new tools (we'll onboard you—no coding experience needed).
You’re self-directed, collaborative, and open to trying new things.
Nice to Have:
Experience with video, song, or story generation tools (Sora, Suno, etc.)
Background in early literacy, ESL, or bilingual education.
Experience in content creation (e.g., social platforms, children’s media) with strong engagement.
Familiarity with instructional design or child development principles.
