As we expand our product capabilities, we are seeking a talented Android Engineer to help scale and refine our mobile applications.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Android Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to build and maintain high-performance Android applications that power loyalty programs and digital marketing experiences for major brands. This is a remote role open to candidates based in Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

  • Integrate with backend services and APIs to deliver seamless user experiences

  • Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience

  • Proficient in Kotlin and Java

  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle

  • Experience with Android TV or Fire TV

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and SDK integrations

  • Strong grasp of Android design principles, Material Design, and best practices

  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git

  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and tools like JUnit, Espresso, or Mockito is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working remotely with a distributed team

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with mobile loyalty or marketing platforms

  • Background in eCommerce, digital wallets, or customer rewards

  • Familiarity with analytics SDKs, push notification systems, or in-app messaging
