Technical Writer
Role Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Writer to help us create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our products, systems, and internal processes. This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, collaborates well with cross-functional teams, and can translate complex technical concepts into accessible content.
What You’ll Do:
Work closely with engineering, product, and support teams to develop technical documentation, including:
User guides
API documentation
System overviews
Internal process docs
Interview subject matter experts and distill complex information into simple, engaging content
Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect product changes
Ensure documentation is consistent in tone, format, and structure across all channels
Manage documentation projects from drafting through reviews and publication
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in software, SaaS, or developer-focused environments
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical topics and write content that is accurate and easy to understand
Strong experience with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Markdown, Git, ReadMe, Swagger, or similar)
Comfortable working independently and managing your own deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus: Experience writing for developer audiences or working in Agile teams
