Our team is a collection of ambitious, collaborative and mission-driven people from all walks of life but with one goal: helping Canadian companies not just survive but thrive. And we’re looking for bold innovators to help shape the future of business finance in Canada.

About the Role

Float is looking for a high-impact Account Manager to join our Customer Experience team! This role is designed for a growth-focused, consultative seller who thrives on expanding customer partnerships and driving revenue. You’ll be responsible for realizing expansion opportunities with our customers post-onboarding, ensuring they continue to grow and scale with us.

In this role, you will own strategic expansion initiatives within an aligned book of business, identifying and executing on opportunities to increase Total Payment Volume (TPV) and deepen customer adoption. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify whitespace opportunities, deliver tailored recommendations, and structure contracts that drive meaningful business outcomes.

If you’re a highly motivated, results-driven professional who loves identifying growth opportunities and building long-term customer relationships, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Owning expansion and upselling opportunities within a portfolio of existing customers, using data-driven insights to drive strategic growth initiatives.

  • Taking a consultative approach to account growth, engaging with multiple stakeholders to uncover business needs, position solutions, and create value for their teams.

  • Leading commercial conversations to structure incentives and contract negotiations that drive customer expansion and retention.

  • Owning pipeline and forecasting for expansion revenue, ensuring consistent tracking and execution of account growth initiatives.

  • Being the voice of the customer, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to influence roadmap priorities and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

About YouHere’s what sets you up for success at Float:
  • You Put Customers First, Always. You care deeply about delivering meaningful value. Whether you're building internal systems or customer-facing features, you're always thinking about how to make life better for our users.

  • You Act Like an Owner. You take responsibility for outcomes, step up to challenges, and seek solutions proactively—doing what’s best for the business, not just your role.

  • You Think Big and Move Fast. You’re energized by building from 0 to 1. You’re not afraid to challenge the status quo, experiment quickly, and learn as you go.

  • You Constantly Learn and Grow. You’re hungry to improve your craft and open to feedback. You bring a growth mindset to everything you do.

  • You Raise the Bar. You care about doing things well and efficiently. You balance speed with rigor and always look for ways to improve how we work.

  • You Win as a Team. You’re a generous collaborator who values communication, context, and shared wins. You lift others up and help make the team stronger.

In addition to living our values…
  • You have a proven track record of growing accounts. You have at least 2 years of experience in account management with a history of exceeding revenue targets and driving measurable account growth.

  • You’re highly strategic. You don’t just execute—you think critically about the best ways to drive expansion, tailor recommendations, and build long-term customer relationships.

  • You’re data-driven. You use insights, usage trends, and customer behavior to prioritize and inform your account growth strategy.

  • You’re an exceptional communicator and relationship builder. You know how to engage senior stakeholders, influence decision-making, and drive action through consultative selling.

  • You take ownership and move fast. You thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment and aren’t afraid to test, iterate, and refine your approach to maximize results.

  • You understand finance and payments. Experience working with finance, accounting, or payments-related products is a plus, and you’re excited about helping companies optimize their financial operations.

This may not be the role for you if:
  • You prefer a highly structured environment with a playbook for every situation.

  • You’re uncomfortable with change or pivoting priorities as needed.

  • You prefer predictable, repetitive work over juggling multiple tasks at once.

  • You like working at a slow, steady pace rather than in a high-energy, fast-moving team.

  • You don’t like partnering cross-functionally to deliver on outcomes

  • You aren’t super passionate about helping Float build the best finance platform in Canada

Why You Should Join
  • Work at one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech companies

  • Make a real impact in a high-autonomy, high-growth role
