Overview of the Role


We are seeking an experienced and strategic CFO to lead our financial function and drive the next phase of our growth. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will oversee financial strategy, FP&A, treasury, accounting, capital markets, investor relations, and financial operations. You will play a critical role in scaling the financial infrastructure, ensuring financial discipline, and positioning the company for long-term success—including potential public market entry.The ideal candidate has a proven track record in financial leadership within lending, fintech, or high-growth companies. You are a hands-on, entrepreneurial thinker with expertise in articulating Kueski’s financial story to external parties and an experienced operational financial leader. Beyond technical finance skills, you bring strategic vision, strong business acumen, and an ability to drive execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities


  • Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Drive financial strategy to support Kueski’s growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.

  • Partner with executive leadership to identify revenue opportunities, optimize costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Lead corporate financial planning & analysis (FP&A) with a focus on predictable growth, cash flow management, and financial discipline.

  • Ensure the financial infrastructure and reporting standards align with public company readiness.

  • Develop a world-class finance team, attracting and mentoring top talent.


  • Capital Markets & Investor Relations

  • Strengthen relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions, articulating a compelling financial narrative.

  • Lead capital raising efforts that optimize Kueski’s capital structure across debt and equity.

  • Represent Kueski in Board meetings and investor presentations, providing transparent and data-driven insights.


  • Financial Operations & Risk Management

  • Oversee accounting, treasury, cash flow management, and internal controls to scale financial operations.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax structures, and financial reporting in the lending sector.

  • Lead financial due diligence and strategy for potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.

  • Implement robust risk management strategies, optimizing unit economics and portfolio performance.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Operational financial leadership - proven leadership in financial strategy, FP&A, accounting, and treasury, ideally within a lending, fintech, or high-growth consumer-focused, b2b2c and product-led tech company.

  • Execution-oriented – prioritizes and drives results with urgency and accountability.

  • Strategic thinker – understands big-picture financial impact and makes data-driven decisions.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset – thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

  • Strong communicator – able to engage effectively with investors, Board members, and stakeholders, balancing financial storytelling with data transparencyHigh integrity & leadership – sets the "tone at the top" and leads with a company-first mindset.

  • Adaptable & decisive – comfortable navigating uncertainty, risk, and rapid change.

  • Able to represent the CEO in critical financial discussions and investor meetings.Deep understanding of financial planning, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance in the lending industry.

  • Experience scaling financial operations, ideally in public company environments.

  • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (preferred)

Location

  • Americas-based, within five hours of travel time to Mexico.
