About the team
This role will be a part of Campus Student Affairs, overseeing the end-to-end journey of enrolled students. From Orientation through Alumni Services, the Student Affairs team provides traditional administrative resources and outside-the-classroom programming and resources, including skill training, professional development, and career and transfer advisement to ensure Campus students reach for the stars.
The Affairs team handles all student compliance issues and all “one-to-many” programs, including orientation, graduation, professional development, career and transfer readiness, and more!
About the role
We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented event planner to contribute to creating impactful in-person and virtual experiences for our students. From orientation to graduation and everything in between, this role offers the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to student events, enhancing engagement and fostering a strong sense of community.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
Lead event planning, logistics, and execution for key milestones such as orientation, graduation, student programming, and quarterly celebrations, with the flexibility to develop additional events that enhance student engagement.
Design and deliver student-facing communications across written, graphic, and short-form media (think Insta + TikTok) to ensure an informed and inspired student community!
Collaborate with the Campus Marketing Team to develop event materials, promotional content, and social media campaigns.
Oversee vendor partnerships, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality service delivery from catering, venues, and other external partners.
Lead event logistics and communications including student/guest travel, vendor negotiation, contract execution, and partner coordination, RSVPs, and follow up messaging to ensure successful events from idea to implementation.
Monitor budgets and track expenses to maintain accurate financial records and ensure cost-effective event execution.
Assess event impact by gathering metrics across attendance, engagement, and outcomes, creating and distributing reporting, and shaping strategy on how to improve all measurables.
We’re excited about you because…
Bring at least 2 to 3 years of event planning experience, with a track record of organizing successful programming from start to finish.
You craft engaging and inspiring content, whether written or recorded, and understand how to connect with the rising generation
Deeply aligned with the mission and values of Campus—you care about education, students, and creating platforms that amplify their success
Have technical production (sound, video, lighting) experience and/or understanding of the media production/editorial process (digital media or newspaper/yearbook club membership?)
What you’ll get:
A compensation package that includes a base salary ($60,000 - $70,000) + equity grant
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary will be localized.
