Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2025-07-27

About Agreena

Agreena is an exciting, dynamic, and purpose-oriented organisation united in a mission to mobilise farmers and corporations to unlock the value of nature and help restore the planet. While we’re rooted in agriculture, finance, and technology, our team of experts range from soil carbon scientists and software developers to market strategists and regulatory affairs experts. Over 160 employees across more than 30 nationalities are gathered under the common Agreena flag – either working from our headquarters in Copenhagen, offices in London, or remotely across Europe.

As a rapidly scaling climate agtech, Agreena provides solutions that drive both environmental and financial sustainability in farming. We have helped farmers across 20 countries in their journey from conventional agriculture to regenerative farming practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and remove CO2 from the atmosphere, storing it in soil. Our company offers a supportive and positive work environment with opportunities for learning, leading and growth no matter where you are in your professional journey. We believe in giving our employees a lot of responsibility, and we encourage new thinking, innovation and fun.

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Corporate Commercial team and help drive Agreena’s growth in the voluntary carbon market.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities & customer relationships across industries, and engaging with companies as they pursue carbon reduction and sustainability goals.

As a key player in our sales process, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers and work closely with our credit sales team to convert leads into revenue. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and proactive individual who thrives in a high-energy, impact-focused environment.

Ideally you will be located in Copenhagen or London where we have a hybrid work set up.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: drive top-of-funnel pipeline growth through outbound prospecting (calls, emails, social selling, etc.)

  • Lead Qualification: Assess the potential of leads by understanding their needs, budget, and timeline, ensuring they align with the company's ideal customer profile.

  • Manage the full sales development cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, initial pitch & proposals, product demos, contracting and handover to the credit sales team.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects across industries, from carbon credit buyers to corporate sustainability leaders

  • Achieve and exceed quarterly sales KPIs and targets for qualified lead generation and engagement.

  • Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the credit sales team, providing valuable information about leads and contributing to overall sales strategy.

  • Maintain accurate records and forecasting in our CRM system.

  • Market Research: Conduct research on competitors, market trends, and customer behavior to inform their prospecting efforts.

Requirements to succeed in the role:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 1–5 years in a sales or business development role, ideally in B2B, SaaS, or sustainability-focused industries.

  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to manage high activity levels.

  • Goal-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Naturally curious and commercially minded with a passion for sustainability and climate innovation.
