Overview

The Business Analyst - CRO Access Management - is responsible for overseeing and managing all onboarding requests submitted by CRO partners through non-employee management organization tool. This role ensures the establishment of internal credentials for authorized CRO workers, monitors and responds to system-generated notifications, and manages requests for system access.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring an inbox to action system-generated notifications, reporting on volume and time-based metrics, and developing stakeholder reporting. The analyst will also play a critical role in identifying and executing process improvement opportunities to streamline operations.

This is a hands-on position that demands exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee onboarding requests from CRO partners via the non-employee contingent workforce tool.

2. Oversee and ensure the establishment of internal credentials for authorized CRO workers.

3. Maintain and monitor an inbox for system-generated notifications and CRO worker emails, ensuring timely action on access-related requests.

4. Track and report on volume and time-based metrics, providing insights through stakeholder reporting.

5. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.

    This role is essential for maintaining smooth operations in CRO access management and ensuring compliance with credentialing and access protocols.
  • Program Development: Assist in creating and implementing policies and procedures for the CRO Access Management program, including supporting process flows.
  • Identity Access Management: Oversee the CRO access management lifecycle, encompassing onboarding, offboarding, and account updates.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders to ensure onboarding practices align with and support business needs.
  • External Vendor Coordination: Maintain communication with external third parties to ensure timely credentialing, preventing unnecessary expiration and account deactivations.
  • Access Request Management: Support the resolution of expired external third-party vendor identity access requests.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and maintain training and desktop process-oriented materials related to the execution of critical process steps encompassing all CRO identity access management and oversight activities.
  • Vendor Training: Train third-party vendor contacts on specific aspects of the CRO identity access request process, where applicable.
  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal functions responsible for managing access to internal systems and assets, as needed.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Produce annual, quarterly, and monthly reports to assess and communicate the effectiveness of the CRO resource onboarding process and make recommendations for improvements. Assist with the development, then manage and produce, agreed upon operational metrics that inform management of the health of access management support.
    Ideal Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Significantly proficient with MS Office products, with specific expertise in Outlook, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with vendor/resource onboarding best practices and compliance standards.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills.
  • Business Process Assessment: Strong understanding of business process assessment, with the ability to evaluate key components and document process flows.
  • Industry Knowledge: Pharmaceutical knowledge preferred, experience with health sciences vendors a plus.
