Remote-Prescription Intake Pharmacist (PV1)
Full-Time Prescription Intake Pharmacist
Location: Hybrid – 8 Weeks Onsite (77018 Houston, TX), Then Remote
Available Shifts (PV1):
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Monday–Friday, Rotating Weekends
2nd Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Monday–Friday, Rotating Weekends
3rd Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Monday–Friday, Rotating Weekends
(Each shift includes a 1-hour lunch break.)
Training & Relocation Details:
Candidates will be required to train onsite in Houston, TX, for approximately 8 weeks.
Revive Rx Pharmacy will cover housing accommodations during the training period.
After successful completion of training, this role will transition to a remote position, allowing the pharmacist to return home.

This full-time role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective communication across all prescription intake processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prescription Intake & Verification
Receive incoming prescriptions via electronic systems, fax, and phone.
Verify all prescription details, including patient information, medication names, dosages, directions, quantities, refills, prescriber information, and DEA numbers.
Ensure prescriptions comply with state and federal regulations, pharmacy policies, and insurance requirements.
Data Entry & System Management
Accurately input and maintain prescription data in the pharmacy management system.
Ensure all patient profiles are up to date with accurate allergies, medication history, and insurance information.
Flag and correct any discrepancies or errors during data entry.
Clinical Review & Patient Safety
Perform thorough medication order reviews for potential drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, duplicate therapies, and dosage appropriateness.
Communicate directly with prescribers and healthcare providers to clarify or correct prescription issues.
Document all clinical interventions and communications per pharmacy standards.
Patient Communication & Support
Provide professional counseling to patients on medication use, side effects, interactions, storage, and proper administration.
Address patient inquiries regarding prescription status, insurance coverage, co-pays, and prior authorizations.
Ensure a positive patient experience by resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaboration & Workflow Management
Work closely with pharmacy technicians, other pharmacists, and external healthcare providers to ensure seamless prescription processing.
Provide guidance and support to pharmacy team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential records of all prescription intake activities in compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
Conduct regular audits of prescription records and intake processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Training, Development & Continuous Improvement
Stay up to date with pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices related to prescription intake.
Participate in ongoing training, including updates on pharmacy software systems and operational procedures.
Provide feedback on process improvements and contribute to team initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and patient care.
Other Duties As Assigned
Assist in other pharmacy operations as needed, including supporting dispensing pharmacists and leadership team initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution.
Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in prescription intake and prior authorization processes; remote work experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
