Your Role:

    Key responsibilities include:
  • Gaining hands-on experience in the accounting services industry.
  • Participating in intern orientation, technical training, and development programs designed to expose interns to both tax and audit, providing tools to immediately contribute to clients.
  • Shadowing and performing procedures on various financial statement areas, including cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, other assets, and accounts payable.
  • Gaining experience with various types of software, such as those used for bookkeeping, tracking fixed assets, and preparing tax returns and assurance work-papers.
  • Reviewing client financial statements and recording any necessary adjustments.
  • Working on payroll and 1099 annual filing requirements.
  • Working directly with a variety of clients across multiple industries, ranging from start-ups and family-run businesses to multi-national corporations.

About You:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Completed more than two years of coursework toward a bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, demonstrating academic dedication and career focus.
  • Passion, drive, and an eagerness to learn.
  • Active support for the company’s vision, mission, and core values, contributing to a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Ability to commit to extended hours and occasional Saturdays during “busy season” (January through mid-April) with a strong work ethic and team-first mentality.
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with individuals at all levels, building rapport and fostering collaboration.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn from peers and mentors.
  • Proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently or as part of a dynamic team.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with flexibility to adapt and solve challenges.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, maintaining confidentiality, and earning trust from colleagues and clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a solid understanding of standard office technology.
