Our client: Instantly.ai — a fast-scaling SaaS company (25K+ trials/month) with a product-led growth (PLG) model

We’re helping Instantly.ai hire a hands-on Retention & Lifecycle Marketer to drive meaningful increases in user conversion and retention. You’ll own onboarding, email automation, in-app flows, and re-engagement strategies across a high-volume SaaS product. This is a critical, high-impact role reporting directly to the founding team.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and optimize onboarding journeys in Intercom to move users from trial to activation.

  • Build and manage email automation campaigns for onboarding, retention, and winback — working with tools like Intercom, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, and Klaviyo.

  • Run in-app campaigns: popups, tooltips, nudges, and upsell flows.

  • Develop lifecycle segmentation strategies across a contact base of ~80,000 users.

  • Improve the trial-to-paid conversion rate from 25% to 30–35%.

  • Analyze campaign performance and user behavior to optimize KPIs: activation, retention, expansion.

  • Collaborate closely with the Product, Growth, and CS teams to align messaging and strategy.

Stack You’ll Work With:

  • Intercom (must-have)

  • ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, Mailchimp, Klaviyo

  • Mixpanel, Amplitude (or similar analytics tools)

  • Segment (or similar CDPs)

  • A/B testing: PostHog, Google Optimize

✅ You’re a Fit If You:

  • Have hands-on experience with lifecycle marketing in SaaS / PLG companies.

  • Know Intercom inside and out — campaign logic, automation, segmentation.

  • Can fully own the lifecycle journey: from planning to execution.

  • Think in funnels, triggers, retention metrics, and copy that converts.

  • Are comfortable working independently and cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Founders.

  • Bonus: You've scaled retention and monetization at similar trial-driven SaaS products.

Reporting & Process:

  • You’ll report directly to the founders or the Senior Marketing Manager.

  • Interview process includes video pre-screen (recorded with key questions), a short test task (e.g., creating a sample email flow), and 1–2 interviews with the founders.

  • Reference checks will be conducted after the interview stage.

This is a remote, contract-based role with flexible location, full ownership, and a direct impact on product growth and retention.
