Summary: The Director, Community Engagement & Stewardship role in partnership with the
Vice President, Community Engagement & Stewardship is accountable for providing overall
leadership for Community Engagement programs and activities for LLS’s Territory and Regional
teams. These programs include activities designed to enhance the recruitment, engagement,
development, and stewardship of territory and regional volunteers and key constituents. This
role collaborates with regional leadership to implement programs for high level volunteers and
for all regional boards of trustees.


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Vice President, Community Engagement & Stewardship to implement the community engagement strategy and corresponding activities designed to enhance the recruitment, engagement, development and stewardship of territory and regional volunteers and key constituents.
• Serve as a key contributor and leader in regional initiatives, bringing a community engagement perspective to territory and regional planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with Territory leadership to evaluate regional performance against community engagement standards and execution of program goals.
• Coach, model, and train key staff in territories and regions on community engagement and volunteer management strategies and programs.
• Accountable for driving Mission initiatives forward through community engagement and volunteer programs throughout the territories including the Board of Trustees and impact volunteers in each Region.
• Provide on-going, highly comprehensive, and innovative strategic planning and support with regional leaders for the Board of Trustees in the Regions, including standards that will ensure revenue and mission goals are achieved.
• Collaborate with the Vice President, Community Engagement & Stewardship and LLS key stakeholders in the development and delivery of training materials to support community engagement programs and activities with regional staff, high impact volunteers, and regional boards of trustees.
• In partnership with the Vice President, Community Engagement & Stewardship, support the community engagement and volunteer strategy integration with LLS’s volunteer management system.
• Actively and thoroughly examine leadership trends for opportunities and threats to ensure sustained year over year community engagement growth with high impact volunteers and key constituents.
• Stay current with community engagement and volunteer management trends in the marketplace, including understanding what nonprofits are doing to engage volunteers, as well as what companies are looking for in opportunities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.



Education & Experience Requirements:


• Bachelor’s Degree, Nonprofit Management, Community Engagement, Volunteer Management, or related field
• 6-8 years of experience

Position Requirements:

• Demonstrated high level of experience in community engagement and volunteer management

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Travel: Approximately 20% for internal and external meetings, trainings

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $88,075 to $125,000. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at LLS we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
