Medical Office Assistant – Outreach & Engagement (ZR_24634_JOB)
This is a remote position.
Schedule:
- 20 hours/week either 10am to 2pm or 2pm to 4pm
Client timezone: New Yersey (EST)
Responsibilities:
Manage email correspondence and respond to patient and client inquiries following established protocols
Coordinate and manage the practice owner’s calendar and scheduling needs
Handle appointment management and coordination as needed
Conduct outreach calls to local psychiatrists, mental health facilities, and healthcare providers
Maintain relationships with referral sources in the medical community
Make introductory calls to local businesses, schools, and colleges to introduce services
Follow up with existing referral partners to maintain ongoing relationships
Coordinate referral processes and facilitate smooth patient transitions
Provide general administrative support and housekeeping tasks as needed
Requirements
Excellent English communication skills with clear, professional phone presence
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to be personable, gentle, and appropriately persistent
Experience in healthcare, medical, or customer service environments preferred
Receptionist-level communication skills and professional demeanor
Ability to work during US business hours (Eastern Time Zone)
Comfortable using Google Voice and computer-based phone systems
Patient and empathetic approach when dealing with healthcare-related inquiries
Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
