Role Description
The Vice President, Finance & Accounting role is expected to lead a team within a high performing organization working collaboratively with the business and finance leaders to assist with driving profitable growth in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Prepare and review complex financial systems and processes
Provide comprehensive and in-depth analysis to drive improvement and streamlining
Evaluate all elements of the forecasting process to support the business
Lead a small team of finance professionals and align this team to support Veristat’s growth
Establish as a “collaborative copilot/advisor” within the business and finance leadership
Support and coordinate with the operational finance team for the delivery of the revenue process
Drive applicable transformation and accelerate margin improvement
Balance the financial needs of the business leadership with the fiduciary needs of Veristat
Translate efficiencies and growth/profitability drivers into operational actions
Guide business partners to attain operational KPIs impacting international business growth, efficiency, and margin performance
Correlate operational outcomes into financial impact
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent required
Advanced degree (MBA or CPA) preferred but not required
12+ years of progressive finance experience with strong analytical, leadership, and partnering track record required
Minimum of 8 years of management experience
Equivalent combinations of experience may be accepted on a case-by-case basis
Requirements
Ability to listen, interpret, influence, challenge, build relationships, collaborate, resolve conflict
Crisp presentation and discussion facilitation, conflict resolution, and negotiation in a matrix structure
Ability to influence, motivate others, and lead change across cultures
Demonstrated ability to think “big picture” and strategically leverage expertise
Serve as a consultant and business partner with internal and external customers
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and current financial and accounting computer applications required
Entrepreneurial demeanor with demonstrated ability to partner with leadership in driving top line opportunities
Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, written, and interpersonal skills
Benefits
Estimated hiring range for this role is $225k - $260k plus applicable bonus
