Job Description

The Supervisor ┬ľ Maintenance is responsible for leading and directing the maintenance mechanics performing preventative/corrective maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability. Train team members on technical processes in order to perform timely repairs and high quality Preventive Maintenance (P.M┬ĺs). Ensure that the equipment operates up to its original performance and quality specifications.

What your day will look like:
┬Ľ Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
┬Ľ Interview, hire, and train associates
┬Ľ Plan, assign, and direct work
┬Ľ Appraise performance
┬Ľ Address complaints and resolve problems
┬Ľ Builds positive associate morale
┬Ľ Develop and implement scheduled Preventive Maintenance (P.M┬ĺs)
┬Ľ Develop work schedules of the mechanics
┬Ľ Direct mechanics in performing proper and correct repairs
┬Ľ Enforce parts room procedures to help ensure that proper parts are available when needed
┬Ľ Enforce all safety policies of the Department
┬Ľ Promote Food Safety in all areas of Maintenance
┬Ľ Directly supervises Maintenance employees
┬Ľ Effective use of all maintenance operating systems up to and including Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Production Line Monitoring System (PLMS)
┬Ľ Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:
┬Ľ Minimum age 18 years old
┬Ľ Valid driver┬ĺs license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
┬Ľ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
┬Ľ Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
┬Ľ Ability to read, write and speak English
┬Ľ Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
┬Ľ Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
┬Ľ Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
┬Ľ Strong leadership and organizational skills
┬Ľ Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
┬Ľ Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
┬Ľ Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
┬Ľ Proficient knowledge in the operation of continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment
┬Ľ Strong communication and problem-solving and time management skills
┬Ľ Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
┬Ľ Ability to effectively adapt to change
┬Ľ Frequent walking and exposure to noise
